Acupuncture for Recovery-Informational Presentation
The NADA protocol is used to treat addictions and emotional/mental trauma in a group setting. The process includes the insertion of 5 hair thin, sterilized, stainless steel, disposable needles into both ears. Once the needles are inserted the patient sits quietly for 30 minutes. Patients report having less anxiety, decreased cravings for drugs and alcohol, better sleep, a feeling of calm, decreased anxiety and an overall feeling of well being. After the needles are removed by the acupuncturist, she will place ear seeds (beads) over the point called “Shen Men” in order to promote relaxation for days after the treatment. The ear seeds will fall out after a few days or the patient can remove them.
This is an informational session.
